Change of leadership in
the production sector
n 1 February 2015 an important
leadership change took place in
the production sector of the
SCHERDELGroup. The previous leader
of this sector, Manfred Wegmann,
handed over his role to Holger Jarsch,
who can be regarded as “one of
SCHERDEL’s own” and who, over
many years of loyal service, has
notched up a number of notable suc-
cesses as head of the Friedau plant
and as managing director of the
SCHERDEL subsidiary PM Perfektion
Maschinenbau GmbH. Holger Jarsch is
additionally the incumbent manager of
the tension and torsion spring sector.
The graduate engineer’s new role as
senior production manager also sees
him responsible for all aspects of com-
munication as the spokesperson for the
production facilities within the Group
management. One of his key roles re-
mains the global expansion of produc-
tion facilities with overall responsibility
for technically equipping and staffing
the plants. Within this context, Holger
Jarsch is also significantly involved in
structuring investments in the
SCHERDELGroup. He will also assist
in large-scale projects and, thanks to
his extensive experience, deliver sup-
port and provide strategic guidance to
the global production facilities. Holger
Jarsch is furthermore the new general
manager for engineering springs and
metalworking. In this role, he is respon-
sible for controlling and optimising ca-
pacities at the respective production
plants and for developing and expand-
ing new production techniques. More-
over, he is in charge of measures for
increasing productivity and knowledge
transfer in his area of responsibility.
Holger Jarsch will remain managing di-
rector of SCHERDEL Friedau GmbH &
Co. KG – the main plant for coil ex-
pander elements, tension and torsion
springs, and assembly parts – and Per-
fektion Maschinenbau GmbH. The for-
mer senior production manager Man-
fred Wegmann, who is due to retire in
the near future, will continue to provide
his technical expertise to the Group. He
plans to undertake agreed special roles
in the production sector.

Supplier of the year 2014
SCHERDEL Waldershof
GmbH & Co. KG was recently
crowned Supplier of the Year
at an award ceremony held at
ThyssenKrupp AG’s French
plant in Florange. At its facility
in Waldershof, SCHERDEL
manufactures stampings and
shaped components for the
automotive industry and other
sectors, including medical
products. ThyssenKrupp’s
French arm is supplied with
components for steering
columns and transmissions.
The award once again docu-
ments the high quality stan-
dards which SCHERDEL ad-
heres to during the production
of components and which are
maintained throughout all
stages of the manufacturing
chain. The prize, awarded by
ThyssenKrupp, demonstrates
the ability of SCHERDEL to
respond quickly and efficiently
to new product priorities and
to guarantee “just in time” de-
liveries. A further criterion of
the evaluation was the high
service quality of the suppli-
ers.
